Nymbul BPM Overview

Technology—Nymbul BPM has two components:

• A server-component that enables your local installation of Metastorm BPM to communicate with the iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch.
• A client-component that connects your device to the designated Metastorm BPM server and integrates your Apple device features with Metastorm BPM

Licensing—Nymbul BPM is available in two configurations:

• Individual users —- license as many or as few copies of Nymbul BPM as you need on an individual basis through the Apple iTunes store.  The server-component must still be enabled on your local Metastorm BPM installation.
• Enterprise - license blocks of users and distribute licenses through your usual IT distribution channels.

Security—Nymbul BPM security uses client-side and server-side authentication:

• Client—the Nymbul BPM client-side provides an authentication handshake with your server-side to ensure that only specific authorized Apple devices can even see your server.
• Server—the Nymbul BPM server-side uses the built-in security of your existing Metastorm BPM installation to validate users.

The client and server side security features work together to ensure that Nymbul BPM is more secure than connecting through any system that is outside your corporate firewall, such as a laptop or home computer.

Potential Applications—Nymbul BPM can expand your workflow from the office to wherever you want or need to work.  Example applications include:

• Remote data -- entry, coordination, and processing:  home health care data, immigration, legal client support, insurance, real estate
• Field case management -- emergency services coordination, damage assessment, utility repair tracking, provisioning
• Public safety and health -- vehicle inspections, hazardous material spill coordination
